PSPP download for MAC OS

Hello, I am having trouble with my PSPP download. I’m able to download the version pspp-1.0.1-1.dmg <https://www.hs-augsburg.de/~beckmanf/pspp/pspp-1.0.1-1.dmg> for my Excel .doc spreadsheet I’m working on for my online college course. The problem is that when I hit import data then next, it shuts completely down. The error message says something like “pspp-bin-bin closed”. I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. Can anyone help?

Dear Mecca,

thanks for your problem description. Maybe you could export
the excel data to csv format and then import that. Could you also
provide the excel file that results in a crash when you import the data?

Thank you. Sorry it took so long to get back. I’ve been working on everything else I can get done in this class before tackling this issue. I’ll try the csv option to see what happens.
The Excel I’m using is Excel for Mac, Version 16.9.
